The technology makes the difference. The innovative motion detector finally puts an end to the time-consuming delimitation of the sensor area. And takes infrared sensor technology to a completely new level as a digitally adjustable 180-degree sensor. By combining five pyro sensors and an innovative mirror technology, we have succeeded in bringing radial detection significantly closer to tangential detection. Within a radius of up to 9 m, the walking direction is irrelevant for the detection quality. Compared to conventional infrared motion detectors, the MD IR D180 thus offers significantly better detection.

The nine detection zones can be activated or deactivated individually and digitally with ease. And the sensor sensitivity is also adjustable. The motion detector detects tangential and 6 m radial movements equally well in a radius of up to 9 m - completely independent of the walking direction. The sensor suitable for COM1 presents itself with a new mirror technology and five pyro sensors. Commissioning and adjustment, wireless networking of several digi sensors and integration of lights are child's play thanks to the STEINEL Connect App and Bluetooth.

The previously very time-consuming process of delimiting the sensor area is now much quicker and easier to do, purely digitally and zone by zone thanks to the STEINEL Connect App and the Bluetooth SIG Mesh standard. Sensor sensitivity can also be set digitally for each of the nine zones. Limiting with covers or setting via potentiometer is a thing of the past.
