The idea behind
Atter Primary School, Osnabrück
Atter primary school in Osnabrück has 152 pupils coming and going every day. Not to mention the teaching staff and the children's parents, of course. It's easy for someone, especially at primary school age, to forget to turn off the light when leaving a room or hallway. Not only because of the new energy-saving regulations of the city of Osnabrück, it makes sense to find a solution that ensures that the light is only on when it is needed. Right from the outset, this was taken into account when the primary school in Atter was built. The STEINEL sensors and sensor lights installed provide reliable light switching. The multisensors also measure air quality, which is then transmitted to the control and instrumentation technology. This not only saves energy costs and minimises CO2 emissions, but also improves learning for pupils.

Pioneering technology
True Presence Multisensor
True Presence KNX multisensors were installed in classrooms and the cafeteria. These sensors not only detect presence in the room, but also provide important air quality data to the control and instrumentation technology, since a central ventilation system is installed in the building. The technology of true presence detection prevents unwanted switching off during class work and unintentional switching on when air is moving, as it is temperature-independent.

All-round. Efficient all round.
The R series is used in the stairwells of the primary school. Thanks to the 360° HF sensor invisibly integrated into the luminaire, the light is only switched on when it is needed and remains off when no one is present. This achieves maximum comfort and maximum energy savings.

Potential savings with added comfort.
All R-Series lights are conveniently started up and adjusted by the STEINEL Connect app. This not only greatly simplifies installation but also comes in useful if any adjustments need to be made at a later date. The app also allows the lights to be networked with each other.

Bluetooth Mesh - future-oriented technology
The new Bluetooth Mesh technology opens up a whole new range of networking possibilities. The Bluetooth technology we use meets the requirements of the Bluetooth SIG standard and is therefore future-proof.
