ECE Saarparkcenter car park, Neunkirchen
As the European market leader in the shopping centre sector, ECE operates and manages more than 200 shopping centres with associated parking areas throughout Europe. The modernisation of the lighting in the West/Level 1 parking deck of the SAARPARK-Center Neunkirchen in spring 2023 is considered a pilot project to achieve more sustainability and energy savings in this area. At the same time, a future-oriented alternative was to be found for the T5 light sources that have recently been banned. By replacing the old lighting with the RS PRO 5100 SC connected lighting solution from STEINEL, the energy costs for the western parking deck of the SAARPARK centre in Neunkirchen can be reduced from €13,700 to €1,800 per year. The networked, intelligent lighting solution replaces the previous 15-hour continuous lighting without users having to compromise on comfort and safety, because the light is switched on and off as needed. This reduces energy consumption by 86%.
