The idea behind
Rain am Lech residential park
The Rain am Lech residential park is settingnew standards in lighting and sustainability. To provide optimum illumination of the outdoor area, the choice fell on the intelligent Connected Lighting solution from STEINEL, in particular the A series. With around 120 lights installed, including the A series, supplemented by downlights and the R series, a comprehensive and energy-efficient lighting concept has been implemented. Connected Lighting enables all lights to be wirelessly networked via Bluetooth Mesh, allowing flexible and individual control of the lighting. The technology ensures optimal lighting conditions, reduces energy consumption and minimises light pollution. At the same time, residents benefit from a high level of comfort: the lighting automatically adjusts to the conditions and ensures safety and orientation at all times – regardless of the time of day or weather conditions. Conventional solutions, such as those using motion detectors, would have meant higher costs and less efficiency due to the complex building geometry. With STEINEL Connected Lighting, it was possible to implement a system that is both economical and convenient.

Our A series is robust, modern and perfect for covered outdoor areas such as walkways. Like all luminaires in the Connected Lighting family, it has an integrated motion sensor that ensures efficient and needs-based lighting. It can also be seamlessly integrated into connected lighting systems.

Bluetooth Mesh - pioneering technology
The use of Bluetooth mesh technology in the residential park in Rain am Lech enables all lights to be networked efficiently and stably. The various Connected Lighting products from STEINEL, such as the A series, downlights and the R series, can be seamlessly connected to each other. The mesh structure ensures that communication between the lights works reliably and across the entire residential complex, without any additional cabling. Thanks to the Bluetooth SIG standards, the solution is not only future-proof, but also ensures flexible adaptation to the individual requirements of the residents.
