Upright house lighting.
The high-quality sensor L 42 SC outdoor light with 180° detection and long-life STEINEL LED system stands out thanks to its no-frills design and beautifully sets the scene for houses with its warm white 3000 K. The rectangular aluminium housing not only looks very elegant, but is also extremely robust. Thanks to the Bluetooth Mesh standard combined with the free STEINEL app, commissioning, networking and grouping with other Bluetooth Mesh lights as well as setting functions such as soft light start, basic light and main light levels are particularly easy and take very little time. The new generation of sensors installed in the light always provides the most suitable light and saves a great deal of energy. The scope of delivery includes innovative cover clips that can be conveniently plugged into the sensor’s design ring. This means that the detection range can be adjusted in just a few simple steps. The outdoor light is supplied in plastic-free packaging and is also available as a Connect version without sensor using the product name L 42 C – it can be networked effortlessly using the new Connect Bluetooth Mesh standard.
Functions at a glance
- Soft light start: elegantly and softly switches the light up to or down from 100% output
- Basic light: dimmed continuous illumination (0–100%) at night, which only switches to maximum light output when motion is detected
- Main light: switches on when motion is detected and can be dimmed from 10–100%
- Continuous light with time teach: switches the light on continuously until a freely selectable time, without detecting motion
- Twilight setting: select the lighting conditions in which the light switches on when motion is detected
- Time setting: decide how long (5 secs – 60 mins) the light stays switched on after motion is detected
The app also makes it possible to network any number of other Connect lights to control them simultaneously and assign group functions.
