They reliably detect movement even from a great height or behind objects. Instead of leaving the lighting on all the time, areas are illuminated only when they are in use, saving valuable energy.
Warehouses and factory bays, in particular, are very spacious and have high ceilings. Usually without daylight, they must therefore be well illuminated so that all work can be carried out easily and all operations can be implemented without disruption. In addition, employees must be able to move around the areas safely and vehicles must be able to be manoeuvred without causing accidents.

Ultrasonic – detects right into the last corner without obstacles. With their room-filling detection, our ultrasonic sensors are not disturbed by columns, room dividers or angled corners. From a height of up to 3.50 m, they reliably detect every movement for sensor-controlled light switching.
High frequency – penetrating and precise. High-frequency waves also register movements through certain materials. This makes it possible to install them behind a suspended ceiling, for example. Or in toilet rooms, as they also detect movements behind cubicle walls.
Infrared – High. Higher. Highbay. From a ceiling height of up to 14 m, a single infrared highbay motion detector with a 360-degree view monitors up to 1,000 square metres of production area or a corridor up to 30 m long between high racks.
Someone has to keep an eye on everything. The IS 345 MX Highbay does. Always.
The test object: a 1,551 m2 warehouse with seven aisles, each 40 m long. The mission: to update the warehouse to the latest state of the art and to optimise the sensors and lighting management system to meet the requirements of the narrow aisles and the high ceilings. The result: significantly lower energy consumption and emissions.
Operating costs were reduced by 73 per cent overall.
